Administrative Assistant Position

The Oakland Mills Community Association (OMCA) has a part-time position opening for an Administrative Assistant. Duties include, but are not limited to: supporting the Oakland Mills Board of Directors by taking and transcribing minutes of all Board meetings and committee meetings (as needed); maintaining files and record keeping; providing staff support for Board and committee members; performing research and compiling reports as needed.

The Administrative Assistant will assist the Village Manager and Event Coordinator: prepare and distribute press releases; develop and coordinate printing material and mailings; manage social media sites; create village newsletters and maintain village websites.
Administrative support will include assisting the Village Manager and OMCA staff as needed; assisting with the village election process; maintaining inventory of office supplies; assisting with and attending community events and programs when requested; and performing other duties as assigned.

The Administrative Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Oakland Mills Village Manager.

The position is part-time and 18 hours per week.

Applicant must be available the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:00 p.m., weekday hours as assigned, and weekend hours as requested.
