The Oakland Mills Community Association is looking for a few good volunteers for their Street Captain program!
The Street Captain program is a great opportunity to engage yourself as well as your neighbors when it comes to relevant happenings and events within the Village of Oakland Mills.
Street Captains are men and women who recognize that tools of communication are vital to the quality of life for a village. Street Captains make the difference…for less than an hour per month commitment you can be the difference that matters! Plus you get a real cool t-shirt for signing–up!
By disseminating a monthly calendar of activities, events, and reminders you truly empower yourself and neighbors. We only ask that you sign-up to deliver a monthly calendar to the homes you can comfortably do on your street and/or on a neighboring street. In addition, we invite you to gather names & email addresses of your neighbors who are interested so that they can receive weekly communication from the desks of the Village Manager, Sandy Cederbaum and the Community Organizer, Dorita Forehand.
I look forward to hearing from you if your street does not have a street captain. Contact Dorita Forehand at 410.730.1129.
