Oakland Mills 50th Birthday Kickoff Celebration @ The Other Barn

9:00 am                Bike Rodeo in the Oakland Mills Village Center

Howard County Police Department will be present to offer a bike rodeo/course.  Bike helmets checked, and promotional items will be available.

Scavenger Hunt at the Oakland Mills Village Center

Pick up your first clue at The Other Barn and walk throughout the Oakland Mills village center to find the rest.  Completing the course will enter you in to win a small prize.

10:00 am to 2:00 pm                  OM Poker Run

Want to win a cash prize?  Enter into the Oakland Mills Poker Run.  More details will follow… 

3:00-7:30 pm       Mike’s Gelato Truck

 3:00-8:00 pm       Art work on Display

SFES and OMMS art teachers will be providing student artwork to be displayed inside The Other Barn on the lower level.   

3:00-4:30 pm       School Performances in the Courtyard

4:00 pm-6:00 pm Face painting, Sidewalk Chalk, Rock Painting, Cake Signing

4:30 pm-6:00 pm Community Picnic with DJ

You bring your dinner we provide the seats and the music.  Come out a have dinner with your neighbors and find out what makes Oakland Mills special to them.

4:30 pm-7:30 pm Wine and Beer for Sale

6:00pm-8:00 pm OM’s Got Talent

The BIG Parade @ The Other Barn
Jul 4 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Join your neighbors in a fun parade to celebrate the 4th of July! Meet up at the Oakland Mills Village Center at 9:45 am. Bring your stroller, your wagon or just yourself and walk along the sidewalks and paths. Most importantly, decorate whatever you are bringing to celebrate all who make up the village of Oakland Mills.

Jazz in the Mills Presents Lavenia Nesmith @ The Other Barn
Sep 16 @ 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Come and see Oakland Mills’ very own, Lavenia Nesmith, with special guest, Steve Washington.  “Her voice rich and resonant, can be powerful and poignant, sultry or sweet.”  Janet Gilbert, The Baltimore Sun

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and can be purchased at The Other Barn or online. Snacks and beverages are on sale during the performance.
